Hello, my name is Thomas Hodge. I live in Barre, Vermont. I am 20 yrs old and I am Gay. On my left is the love of my life Jarad. I have dedicated this website and Group P.R.A.G. (Prevention of Religious Abuse of Gays) and my life to help young people who come from homes like I did where parents who say they believe in God tell there child they are going to Hell, you are a sinner, and you are immoral just for being gay. More then a hundred gay young people in the U.S. commit suicide before they reach the age of 21. Many religious people will say it’s because of there sin, but in reality it’s because these kids are treated as perverted sinners never feeling love or acceptance because there parents tell them there is something wrong with them or they throw them out. This groups main goal is to help people who come from religious homes but we welcome any Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender person who feels they are abused.
I am here to tell young gay Americans from or still living in religious homes that God does love you. I come from a very strong Baptist family and before I even came out I was treated as though I had no feelings or thoughts of my own by my father and then at the age of 18 when I finally came out my family forgot me and continues to until I tell them that I wont be the way I was born. Suicide is not the answer you are who God made you whether you are straight or gay.

IT TELLS OTHERS THAT THEY ARE NOT EQUAL AND THAT THERE LIVES DO NOT MEAN AS MUCH. PASTORS WHO SPEAK AGAINST GAY PEOPLE AND ANYBODY ELSE WHO DOES AND SAY WE DO IT IN THE PRIVACY OF OUR CHURCH OR HOME IT STILL REACHES OUTSIDE OF YOUR CHURCH OR HOME AND THIS IS WHAT IT RESULTS IN.
